irrigating potatoes
Irrigation has started in southern alberta, after a good 4
inches of moisture in the past 5 weeks kept the crop going
for free!

Michael, where's your water coming from?

Re: irrigating potatoes
Our water comes from the rockies, where the snowpack melts
and gets conveyed trough a series of reservoirs and canals
to the farmgate. That way, about 1.1 million acres recieve
irrigation water in southern alberta. Interesting setup for
something that's about 100 years old....For more info, check
