New Holland 1441
Dit is een New Holland 1441 maaier achter een TM140. De
maiier is 4.75m breed. De trekker heeft de wielen extra
breed staan zodat de lucerne breeder can worden gegooid
zonder erover heen te rijden. De foto is genomen in Ontario,

This is a New Holland 1441 Discbine, it is 15'7" wide. The
tractor is a TM140 with the wheels set wide to clear a
larger swath. Taken in Ontario, Canada.

at the end...
Re: New Holland 1441
Turning around. My brother is driving while I got lunch.
Re: New Holland 1441
Going back...
Re: New Holland 1441
En terug naar de andere kant van het veld.
Ok, tijd om weer zelf erop te rijden...

Going back to the other side of the field.
Time to get back on that tractor.
Re: New Holland 1441
Very nice pictures. Hope ya had better luck then I did. Both
the transmission belts on the 1341 Diskbine blew on me on
wednesday. Was on my 5th time around the field. IT's fixed
now but with rain coming we didn't cut anymore. Do you guys
harvest your hay or does Claussen farms do it?

Take care,

Jij woont in Canada en spreekt Nederlands, ben jij dan naar
ginder getrokken?
Re: New Holland 1441
This machine has been working flawless so far, it even has
all the orginal knives in it! Today I did about 100 acres,
my brother is doing another 80 acres tonight. Claussen are
comming on monday morning to harvest all +/- 180 acres. They
only come with the Claas 830 speedstar harvester and one
dumptrailer. We have another dumptrailer and enough tractors
to run them and the Deere loader is going to pack the

Ik ben in 1996 van Nederland naar Canada verhuist.
Re: New Holland 1441

I an earlier post you spoke of duals for the 544H? have you
got them yet? When you get a chance, would you mind
snapping a pic or 2? Also, There was some real bad weather,
a small tornado that passed through Mitchell, did it muss
you guys?

Re: New Holland 1441
Ask and you shall receive :-D

There is a story on these...
When I wanted the duals, I called up OnTrack, which is the
Deere construction dealer in London, they contacted MTC tire
(from London) and they came over, and we discussed what we
needed. The ag tire guy at MTC called up some wheel
manufacturers and their engineers said snap-on duals were
not strong enough..:-( So, some engineer designed these
things, they started building them when another engineer
decided they were not strong enough and needed more
reinforcement, increasing the quoted price... So I told them
to go ahead with it. They were made, they found some new
rubber for it and delived them 13 days ago, yes on a sunday.
The next tuesday the salesman came back with a mechanic to
make those 2 holes bigger. The salesman said they had to do
it on our property for warranty reasons...

Anyway, they are mounted by lifting the front wheels a
little, remove 12 out of the 14 bolts, and placing the wheel
agains the other wheel and then insert 12 new longer bolts.
We bought an air impact wrench at TSC for $169 that can do
the required 400 lbs*ft and it shouldn't take much time to
mount them. Monday I`m mounting them for the first time,
I`ll take some picks then and some in action.
Re: New Holland 1441
While my brother was cutting he had a little accident, a
rock shattered the rear window... First one with a NH
discbine for us, and we have had one for 8 years...
Re: New Holland 1441
So we had to give a different tractor. This is the JD 7710
with IVT in front of the same discbine.

This is actually a nicer tractor to work with since it has
more power, my brother said he could drive 13.8 MPH most of
the time, the TM140 could only do 10.6 MPH. The reason we
don`t use the 7710 for cutting hay is that the wheels are
set more narrow for plowing.
Re: New Holland 1441

Well as long as no one was injured, thats most important.
Thank you for the pics. I look forward too seeing the duals
mounted on the 544H.Let us know how well it packs!! Take
care and have a nice weekend

Re: New Holland 1441
Those Speedstars sound like an impressive machine. A custom
worker in the area has a new JD SPFH and have had some
problems with it. Don't know what problems but they were
stopped alot last week. WOW 13.8mph, boss only sais I can go
6. Don't know why, benefit of a diskbine is speed. Least
that's what I though. You know that top rod or what ever
it's called that holds the head back from falling forward on
a diskbine, the nut on that bolt rolled off. Head rammed
into the ground and the tin hit the PTO, burnt through the
shield and onto the pto. Started on fire but I put it out.
That was the first problem then the belts broke a few weeks
later. Always when I'm running it. Other then that there a
greaty invention.

Take care,

Re: New Holland 1441
A contractor near us Purchased a JD 7300 spfh in May this
year, I wouldent say they are one of the most reliable
spfh's about.
Then another contractor ran 2 Claas 840's for 6 years and
had hardly any trouble, but has currently traded both of
them in and purchased a Claas 870.
Re: New Holland 1441
