Re: scrapping silo
Hi Janne

How long did it take from start to finish to do this? What
was the reason to tear down elevator still looks good in
picture. Or is it just make room for progress

Re: scrapping silo
hi roy!
it takes about a month, they scrapped it because they don´t
need it anymore it was unnecessary at long time.
now they plan to built some offices, now they gonna scrap
the other silo in here (turku) and built some recidendes to
it´s place.
they scrapped many silos in finland if they don´t need them.
my opinion is: they can maintain some silos, because those
are historically respected.
(i wish you understand my bad english)
Re: scrapping silo
I understand your english fine. its not a problem Is grain
stored on the farms or do they just not store large amount
of grain in this day and time. they say progress is for
the better, but sometimes I question it

Re: scrapping silo
hi roy!
here in finland after harvesting we must transport the grain
to the graindryer (in the picture) because there is so humid
and cool weather. then they transports the grain to the
silos or straight to the mills. (some dryers is so big that
there is silos in the same building than the dryer)
