Downed Wheat
Took this picture when out touring. Funny thing is that most
of the wheat that was still standing is where the sprayer
went. Wonder why. The next field over which is wheat is
standing. I think it must be a fertilizer problem. Too much
of it I think.

I was told that lodging wheat (downed wheat) is not only
caused by improper fertilizer application, but is also
lacking other nutrients such as potash,(potassium),
nitrogen, sulfur, when you balence them out properly the
wheat can build a better stand and wont fall over, you might
also want to look in to micro nutrients when you treat you
seed in the spring time, see products such as Jump Start
available in Western Canada forsure because we used it our
selves :-) any other questions just reply happy growing
