Looking Down
Looking down on a Case-IH 1670 at near max level. The main
drive tires are set well ahead giving great down hill
stability. Four wheel drive gives great hill climbing.
The ladder to the cab has been modified to accommodate
the leveling system. This machine is cutting spring barley
on SRS Ranches near The Dalles, Oregon. :-D

Re: Looking Down
Hi, matt. as owner of two auto-level combines I answer you.
This machine as say the name is normally automatic. They
establish a flat position by an hydraulic or electric
system. Leveler can be also manual, by a switch. We use
manual leveler when unload grain tank or whenever automatic
system is not ideal for the situation.
Greetings

Re: Looking Down
Yo Matt! Yup, Lorenzo gave you the straight skinny. The
1470/1670 has a two speed system; the low bypass works
most of the time and keeps the leveling smooth and steady.
The high bypass kicks in with any sudden change or when the
manual leveling is used. In this shot, the leveler is set
to manual and the machine is laid over in order to work on
a broken pin that connects the main axle to the right hand
leveling cylinder. Ever had one stuck bad down there in the
rice paddy's?
