The International Diesel tractors started on gasoline first
and then switched over to Diesel when warm. No pony engine
like on the Cats of old. This one had a newer pump put on
in the 60's for more power. Good power that was light enough
to be transported on truck to other farms. The TD 14 that
replaced it was too big for most farm trucks. The TD 9 was
popular for many farmers as was the D4 cat. Areas with
drier areas with bigger farms used more TD 14's, D6 Cats and
Allis Chalmers of comparable class like the HD 9. (early to
mid 50's)
