Massey ferguson 135 and a 3 furrow plow

Re: massey ferguson 135
I personally think that a three - furrow plow degrades the
135 which is pulling it ,the 44HP massey is easily capable
of pulling a 5 furrow plow (on a good day) ive done it
myself. This is ofcourse if this 135 has the standard 2.4
litre, 3 cylinder engine with a compression ratio of 18.5:1
and a normal oparating speed range of 500-2250 rpm.
And ofcourse some decent tyres.

Re: massey ferguson 135
I think you are rong james hopley but it is a MF 135 But I
think it has got 350hp with a super-charge Engine in see how
big the bonet is and it COULD pull my house down if it was
plowing that is a difrent storey if it had a 3 poit linkige
on the front it would have a 9 furow Reversible front and
back and it would show them people in The US and it is NOT A
44hp JIM.

Re: massey ferguson 135
thankyou for your views on this subject, i believe some of
what you have put but not all
for starters. this tractor is a 44.3hp at crankshaft, a
42.9hp at the pto shaft and a 40.8hp tractor at the drawbar.
I hope that clears up your mistakes.
this perkins AD3152 has only 3 cylindars and a bore of
91.44mm
i could give u many more statistics but theres no need this
tractor is capable of pulling a 5 furrow plow, i have one
myself and pull it often. -Yes it struggles but nowone
believes me because nowones ever tried it!!!!!!!!

i would like to no some more information on your uncles new
massey because i am looking for a upgrade, i have a
35,135,165,165,185,290,298 and a 399 they all work oftern
eg. today the 399 was plowing, the 298 was carting corn, the
185 was blowing the corn into the bins and the 290 was
blowing the fan to cool the corn.
pies!

have a question fore jou what make 5 furrow plow do jou have
fore the 135 ? because i work fore a farmer and he has a 5
furrow Ransomes plow we pul it whit a Ford 7710 and we need
some frond weights to lift it and for the pulling the Ford
needs al of his power ! and he has a few more than normaly
we helpt him a litle bit he hase now about 110 hp at the
p.t.o. the ramsomes hase a working wiht of 1.80 m and we are
plowing about 25 cm deep i sent a picure a little time ago

Re: massey ferguson 135
Jim, use the link on the front page that reads "Post your
own Pictures". There are other ways as well but that's the
most straight forward...

Re: massey ferguson 135
I was wondering where you got the extension wheels from. I
have a MF 135, and it has plenty of power for the kind of
work that i do on a little hobby farm, but it lacks traction
badly. Any help would be great

Re: massey ferguson 135
i love massey fergusons and everything but im sure you would
have to include the type of soil, i plough sandy land with 3
furrows on my 165, but it would be no use if i was in
clay/loam or anything heavy like that. we plough mainly with
our deutz with a 6 furrow revesible on the back, it
rocks!!!:-D
