Re: NH CR
Amazing that a corn head can be folded that much. Must be
alot of U-joints. Don't remember seeing Corn in Bavaria when
I was there many years ago. I thought you' d be too close to
the mountains for that long of a season. Beautiful part of
Germany!

Re: NH CR
Hi Redpainter,

this Italian 8 row picker is as simple to fold like a six
row. Here in Germany you can´t go on the road with and
vehicle who is broader then 10 or 11 tf.

Corn is growing every where in Bavaria of course not ever
where for combining.

According to your posts I think you are from Washington?

Re: NH CR
Theo, like RedPainter, I would also be interested in seeing
some more detailed photos of the folding portion of this
corn header. It would seem to be a very complex feet of
engineering.

Thanks,
Russ

Re: NH CR
The folding system is simple like the hydraulic device
operation of a loader. Two claw clutches drive the folded
outside part. The devider fell down because of the gravity.

Re: NH CR
Thanks for the extra pics,Theo, I can see it doesn't bend in
as many places as it seemed to in the first pic. It looks
simpler now. Yes, I'm originally from Washington and live
1/2 mile in Idaho. My hometown in WA was settled by mostly
Germans in the 1800's. Interesting to see the machinery pics
and farming practices from all over the world. I wonder if
the folding corn head will someday be used in the USA?

Re: NH CR
Folding 12r heads are allready in North America. Local farm
here runs a 12r Folding corn head on their 8010AFX. Havn't
seen it yet in the field. I believe they have a Harvestec
which is a Canadain company that makes corn heads that also
shread the stalk.
