'just one of those days...'
tractor with no butt bone, bugger!

Re: 'just one of those days...'
some bolts ran loose?

We had that on an Ursus C-385 A. My brother repaired the
tranny (14.000 hrs, build 1979) and did not tighten the
bolts enough. The variable load of a front loader caused the
bolts between rear axle and tranny to run loose. It hung in
the driveshafts, the fitting bolts were free from the holes.
drove home with a heavily bleeding tractor, tightened the
bolts, and filled it with 55 litres of oil. It contains 60
litre, so about 5 litre was still there. Then i continued
work. The tractor did 14.800 hrs in total, so we had it for
around 2 years after this happened.

Ours never really lost its butt, but this Case reminds me of
that old Ursus.
Re: 'just one of those days...'
renze, dunno what happened here,

even the toughest tractors in the world are no match for

sounz like you tractor gave you good service, i have also
experienced loosening bell housing bolts on a NH5635......we
put it down to too much twisting, running it hard on a
loader on a silage stack
Re: 'just one of those days...'
hello pudding,

Is this the same MX 270 that I see in your other photos?

Re: 'just one of those days...'
Hey pudds,

You were'nt driving this one by anychance when it
Re: 'just one of those days...'
hey there, yeap the second pic is the butt bone of that

woodbeef, what are you trying to say? pay peanuts and
get monkeys?

naw, thats not our rig, we do do some interesting stuff with
machinery, but not that extreme......i'd like to know myself
what actually happened here
Re: 'just one of those days...'
Well, the mudguards are broken, so i suppose the tires did
that when rolling from the tractor.

This happened in my area few years ago. A contractor was
deep ripping with a Renault 145-14, but the MF 1200 4WD was
needed for assistance. That renault was pulled apart, the
transmission bolts arent designed for that pulling power.
Re: 'just one of those days...'
there was a mx270 and a 8930 case halling shit at night and
they both went to pass on a bridge in road gear and the two
duels hit and riped the back ends out of the two tractors.
this could be one of them
Re: 'just one of those days...'
You might be right, because the 3 point hitch is all bent.
the implement might have had some of the impact too.
Re: 'just one of those days...'
