Re: john deere 9880sts
This combine is made in Moline, in the USA.
But it is only sell in Europa, it is one of the biggest
combine in the world;
engine 12,5 L 465 hp and it has the "STS" like the axial
flow ;-) (joke because on the brochure they say it is not a
rotary machine and I think it is...)

Sorry for all the americans who think that they have all the
biggest Deere; perhaps will it be early selle in the USA...

PS excuse my very bad english

Re: john deere 9880sts
@ Jose: the european 9880 STS is not bigger than the US 9750
STS in sizes, it has only more HP (because there is a lot
more (green) straw that must go through the machine in most
regions of europe), a folding grain tank extension and some
other customizations for european conditions.

Re: john deere 9880sts
How can you tell this is a 9880 STS or whatever, from what I
can See it might be a 9550 or 9450, or any of the 50 series.
You can't tell this is a 9880 or what ever by just looking
at the front. Show more pictures and maybe I'll believe you.
As for whoever put this up you could be full of it or not.
And he just made a believer out of the rest of you, so you
all fell into his trap. So as far as i'm concerned, your all
idiots.-d

Re: john deere 9880sts
As far as I am concerned, you are an idiot for not going to
Deere's website and looking at the combine for yourself. So
what if they have a higher HP machine. They also sell the
8520 with 295 HP in Europe.

Re: john deere 9880sts
Some specs for the 9880 STS:
http://www.deere.com/jdin/en_GB/europe/products_ag/combines/
ts/?sidenavstate=1

And for the tractors: In Europe the Tractors do not have
more HP. They only put other values in the Literature:

US - PTO-HP
EURO - Engine HP (ECE R 24)
US 7520 ist the same as Euro 6920, US 7520 has 125 PTO-HP
and 6920 has 150 Engine-HP.

Re: john deere 9880sts
John Deere is coming out with a new style combine the 60
series. They are going to have all the way up to a 9860
STS. JD is supposively going to introduce it in the fall @
the farm progress show in central Illinois. It is going to
have 430 HP and they are making a 16 row head. They are
suppose to have a bean head that will keep the machine full
of beans. It will also have a 24 inch unload auger. That
is all the info I have on the new combines. Maybe i can get
somemore info out of our John Deere dealer. Good day.;-)
