Harris 98 Hillside
Late 50's Harris 98 hillside combine built in Stockton
California. Most were sold in the Pacific Northwest and some
in California. (Before irrigation, California was the
largest wheat producing state in the US. Large combines and
tractors were developed there in those days because of labor
shortage. Cat (Holt) and Harris were two of the combine
makers of early days- wooden machines at first. Harris
survived until about 70. Cat sold their combines to Deere.
