Self Propelled Chasers
JD 9600's with Shelborne Reynolds Stripper heads in Rice in
California. What are the self propelled chaser bins, are
they still used or replaced by Challengers & VTS???

This photo from World Harvesters published 1995, I have
asked about the bins many times with no success, hence the
posting, thanks, Steve
Re: Self Propelled Chasers
I have seen these carts in the rice fields of Texas. They
had 3208 Cats with Allison auto tranny's and Case rear ends.
They hold about 300 bu. They were scratch built by someone
in California I think. The farm in Texas had 5 of these
along with a Challanger and a J&M 750 cart with VFS
undercarrage. They also had 3 485 Cat Combines that looked
like they were really wheelin.
The carts were pretty cool to see.

know if they are custom built or if they are made by an
aftermarket. It seems like rice farmers are pretty
inventive when it comes to farming in the mud.
