Re: 1790
Metering system on the 1790. Doesn't look like a bad
concept. I don't see an auger to fill the hoppers but maybe
it hasn't been added.

Re: 1790
nice pics. Notts up by Clinton may have one off this size as
well as a couple of other once. They farm some 16-18,000
acres total.

Re: 1790
One of our growers purchased the 1770NT back in the spring
2004, they had it modified to 18r30 with some european *i
think* fert box up front which had a weighscale in it.

It makes for a pain walking across a 36 or 54 row headland,
but not quite as bad as one other grower of ours with a
24r30 maxemerge lol.

Re: 1790
Never seen an 18r. Ya that guy would probably plant 48 rows
for his headland? Thats alot of rows to walk across. But I
guess sweetcorn has to go in fast inorder for it too be ripe
all at the same time?

Re: 1790
the neighbours of mine who do a lot of custom work, (also
for us) run a 12r 30 and a 16r 30. Even the 16 is not to bad
to turn around but some of those 24 r units, they will be
more of a challenge.

Re: 1790
Nott's have indeed quite a vew 9750 and now the 60 series
combines. They also rent the field beside us. They were
using 3 of them at once. With this were tree buggies with a
7710, 8420 and a 9320 JD infront of those. At the same time
they also started plowing. 3 JD8410 and 20s with 7 furrow
Kvernelands and a CIH STX425 Quadtrack with a 10 furrow
Kverneland. Hauling to town (less then 10 km away) was with
3 b-trains. And yes it did go pretty quick.

Re: 1790
most are seasonal. They have part seed business on the side
as well, keeps also a lot of the bussy during the slow
times.

Re: 1790
we were at a guy in North Dakota who grew 50000 acres of
sugar beets, he ran 2 of these 1790 but then 48row/22"
setup.
Only 48 rows JD made, no markers, did not make em big
enough, 8410T in front with starfire autosteer. Pretty
amazing. Also ran 9, 12 row WIC harvesters with brand new
8520 trippled up (320/54) in the back and duals in the front
