Majorette Tractor - who's the manufacturer?
I have for ages been trying to track down the identity of
this great little model tractor.

It appears to be air-cooled - note the grills on the bonnet,
and most definitely European probably French (likely as the
models made by a french company), or possibly Italian.

It does not look like a common manufacturer (Fiat, Renault
etc). The closest approximation is a Lindner but even that
seems wrong!

Dopes anyone know its identity?
Majorette Tractor - who's the manufacturer?
..and to add to that heres a smaller scale model - also
majorrete, which appears to have the same grill/radiator on
the side of the bonnet nearest the cab. Is this the same
make and if so what make?

Re: Majorette Tractor - who's the manufacturer?
Yes the one I have is also green.
Come on guys! - what make is this?
Maybe a Buhrer???
gotta be Italian/Freanch or at least European in origin.
whats the real tractors make??
Who makes the real version of this nice trac?
its 1:32 so this post goes in that section
Re: Majorette Tractor - who's the manufacturer?
Probably this tractor was never in production. I've seen
numerous undistinguishable lesser name models over the
years. I'm starting to think it is a bit of this company and
a bit of that company all jumbled together to make a
passable model for sale. By so doing no royalties are due to
the brand name holder on the sales either,or do you need
copyrights etc......
Re: Majorette Tractor - who's the manufacturer?
Good point but,

The smaller of the two may be a generic "farm tractor"
design. However the larger 1:32 scale model is so disticnt
in its design that I believe it must - as with most models
-be based on a specific tractor, however obscure.

The cab may be a clue as these are often a different
manufacxturer eg Laurin cabs who have a website with similar
cabs. Its also air cooled which I'm pretty sure only a few
European maufacturers use. I agree though its hard to tell.
Howver countires such as Italy and France have many, many
small companies producing vineyard and other small machines
so I still think its real.

Why would a company make the effort to fake a real looking
trasctor so well ands so distinctly when they could have
just made an average looking machine?

Thanksd for replying though I was beginning to think no one
would! :-)

Heres another view of this models ilusive identity (taken
from Ebay).

Note the unusual front weights and the hood.
any ideas on the maker-anyone?
Re: Majorette Tractor - who's the manufacturer?
Never seen such a tractor on French roads / fields. Maybe
Majorette did a mix of severat looks of european tractors of
the beginning 1980's. (Perhaps you might just ask directly
to Majorette ?!?) :-\
