Spray Morning
A Cat Challenger 65B pulling a 100 foot Brandt sprayer on
a beautiful morning on SRS Ranches near The Dalles. Just
across the fence is a neighbors cherry orchard and beyond
that is Mt Hood. The drought continues here in the Pacific
Northwest.....need some rain soon or it will be a quick
harvest. :-(

Re: Spray Morning
want some snow... we still have a fair bit of snow around
this year and below seasonal temperatures. Even a snow storm
yesterday morning. It seems that nobody has somewhere near
normal weather these days.

Re: Spray Morning
Yo Franke: Yup, will take some snow....just so it's wet.
No rain in sight here for all of March....expect to see
blue wheat in April :-( Too bad since the stands all look
great here right now.

Re: Spray Morning
We have to wait what the wheat will do here, how it survived
the winter or not. This will be a real challenge this year
since we did have a couple of thaws and then freezing rain
and back to snow. This will form an airtight layer right on
top of the soil. And can make the wheat suffocate.

Re: Spray Morning
Once again a very nice picture... You should have become a
photographer :-D
Here in Holland, the weather is also doing the wrong things
:-\ Last week it broke the snowrecords of the past 5
decades, and it's still too wet to drive a tractor on the
fields.
Maby it's an El Niño kind of thing :-(
Hope you get some rain soon... :-/

Take care,

Niek

Re: Spray Morning
Hi John.Nice to see you again.Sorry for your concern of the
weather, hopefull you will get rain in time.
As allways you have a beautiful picture,I am very impressed
of Mt.Hood in background.
I have stolen a picture from www.wunderground.com where the
photographer can`t have been standing so very far from you?
There are many great pictures from Oregon on that site.
Greetings from Njål

Re: Spray Morning
Hi Njal!! Yup, the picture that you "borrowed" was shot
almost due west from the one I took at the top of this
page.....just up Eightmile Creek from US 197. And not too
far from where I took this shot last fall. Love to shoot
pictures of Mt Hood ;-)

Re: Spray Morning
About half a meter (20inch) Probably doesn't sounds much but
for this flatland with a seaclimate it is. Even more when it
is march :-\
Schools where closed, (high)-ways unpassable and we had lot
of snowfun:-D.
