Re: Massey Ferguson CEREA 7274
ZETOR....ZETOR WAS (still is) big factory (huge as centre of
Brno), but now they use only part of all huge complex.
The factory is situated near airport, rather in district
Slatina.
Our 1st president (Václav Havel) sent to Iraq in 1991 our
soldiers and accordingly Iraq didn't pay to ZETOR (many
billions Czech crowns). ZETOR failed. Goverment helped to
ZETOR and came to life.
In Brno have been made only small tractors (classes 50, 60,
70, 80...), but the big tractors(140,160) were made in
Slovak Republic. Factory ZTS Martini.

Re: Massey Ferguson CEREA 7274
Thank you for the information. I will look better next time
when I'm there :-D. But do they give something like a tour?
Or is it al restricted area? I'v seen a lot of farmers with
poor old equipment like rusty Fortschritt and Zetor, ursus.
Then you see a state farm? And they have big nice JD 8410,
8520, 7920. New combines, as you posted. And all new
equipent. :-). Are these machines wich you posted all owned
by farmers or are they funded by the state? I havent seen
that new and good equipent when I was there. The normall
farmers had old russin stuff and some I think, old second
hand western europe machines.

Re: Massey Ferguson CEREA 7274
No, here are any tours or sightseeing tours to ZETOR
factory.
The equipment...the situation is better. Here are many
farmers, which housekeep only for them - family farming and
they have old machines-ZETORS, FORTSCHRIT,..
But the main position have joint stock companies. For
example Bonagro have 14 John Deeres(for example 8410 on my
photos). They have about 5000 hectares. They have many
modern combines (CLAAS, Deutz Fahr), but they have still a
few OLD machines(Škoda, ZETOR, Fortschrit).
For example next is Agro Brno-Tuøany. They had 2 JCB Fastrac
185-65, after 5 years they sold 1st and bought CASE IH MX
200, next year 2nd Fastrac has been destroyed in accident.
They bought CASE IH MX 240. CASE 240 work instead of 2-3
ZETORS 16145 ! Next they have Massey Ferguson 40, new
plough POTTINGER, cultivator FARMET, seeding machine HORSCH.
They have still 4 big ZETORS (2x16145, 1x14145 and 1x
Crystal)
For one more example: Moutnice - Challenger ->CASE IH
375->John Deere 9000 (I don't know exactly).

State own big nothing ! I thing 95% off all farms and
companies are individual farms.
We lived 41 years under communism totalitarian goverment(Me
only 2 years ;-) ). 1989 Velvet revolution overthrowed
communism goverment. Next years democraratic goverment
retroceded overy confiscated assets.

Photos...I will look for some.
