Harris hillside combine 1965
Harris hillside combine from Stockton , California. Most
were sold in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. This 1965 model
908 was the last model which ran about 5-6 years before
Matthews closed production. It succeeded the 98 Case Harris
sold by J I Case and painted orange. Harris were painted
red. Matthews corn combine was based on the Harris though
it was quite different. It could level more than other
machines since it did not use universal joints, but used
enclosed drive chains that drove the wheels as the wheels
mooved up and down.
Re: Harris hillside combine 1965
I had one these brochures and I lost it !!! If I remember right the feederhouse pivoted in front of the cylinder. One of these brochures would probably be worth some money on ebay. I've seen brochures for John Deere 95H's go for over $250.00 on ebay.
