GS 161439 309 8120 with Kongskilde either
8120 with Kongskilde
The soil is drying up quickly now so today I was getting our
JD 8120 and Kongskilde 30ft cultivator ready.

Het droogt nu mooi hier, dus vandaag heb ik onze 8120 en 9
meter brede kongskilde cultivator klaar gemaakt.

Re: 8120 with Kongskilde
We keep the loader on the tractor to pick the larger stones
on the go. The bucket is from the 7210 in the background of
some of the pics, we have a much larger one too, but that
one weighs a lot more.

De voorlader word gebruikt om de grote stenen uit het land
te rapen. We gebruiken een kleine bak van de JD 7210 omdat
die minder weegt.

FlyingDutchman
this cultivator was used before for your 7710 ?? I think
this cultivator is very big for a 7710

Re: 8120 with Kongskilde
That is one of the reasons we traded the 7710 for this 8120.

Re: 8120 with Kongskilde
Hi,

So has the 8120 been on "Light Duty ":-D all winter long?
Field work should be fun, and a breeze with it!! More pics
when/if you have a chance!!

Take care

Re: 8120 with Kongskilde
Since we finished plowing the 8120 hasn't done much, has 206
hours on it now. If the weather stays nice we'll be seeding
alfalfa or spreading manure next week. After that the
tractor will have plenty of work all summer.;-)

Re: 8120 with Kongskilde
hey Flying Dutchman,

I really enjoy your pictures!! Try to take some pictures
while you're spreading manure. What kind of manuretank do
you use? And where in Canada do you farm?

Take Care ;-)

Re: 8120 with Kongskilde
We can use the HP of the 8120 to run the manurepump, so the
TM140 will be in the field again.

We have our own draghose, this pic was taken last summer on
an alfalfa field.

Our farm is 40km north of London, Ontario

Re: 8120 with Kongskilde
On how many hectares do you need to use the cultvator and
what crop are you planting on it?

Re: 8120 with Kongskilde
We are going over 200 hectares 2 times, then 40 hectares
will be seeded with alfalfa/lucerne and the remaining 160
hectares will be grain and silage corn. We just grow feed
for our dairy cows.

Re: 8120 with Kongskilde
What town are you near in ontario? And if you dont mind
saying what would your name be? I live near hensall. I
noticed your tractor was purchased at huron tractor as well.
You likely dont live to far away from me.

Our Farm is just west of Woodham, which is on hwy 23. I`m
sure you can find it if you live in hensall. Tractors come
from Exeter, and my name is Gerard Steenbeek

Re: 8120 with Kongskilde
Hey Gerard,

I love that avatar. How did you make the avatar scroll
through all your tractors like that? Do you use photoshop?
iphoto?

Take care,

Re: 8120 with Kongskilde
Thanks, I used photoshop to resize the images and clear up
the sky, removed some clouds on the 544H picture and faded
the sky to white on the TM140 and 8120. Then I added the
logos. The animation I did with adobe imageready which is a
very confusing program but it was already installed with
photoshop and it got the job done.
