Very wide planter
A very nice and wide old planter. I am not familiar with
this planters and would like to know what planters were used
to make up this nice combination.
Re: Very wide planter
These are IH press drills. I think they're hoe drills which
put the seed deep in the dry soil of the plains. A packer
wheel follows the hoe type furrow openner. Can't see very
well, but this set may have sideways transport so one could
take them sideways down the road. They were built till the
90's I think; at least till a little after CIH bought
Re: Very wide planter
Yes they are hoe drills, but I'm not sure if they are 12' or
14' sections. So it is either a 48' or 56' unit. It has an
aftermarket hitch and transport wheels on the back(the blue
frame). The front hitch collapses to the left of the drill
for road transport, similar to JD's drill hitch.
