Blackland Planter
Blackland Planters are/were used in areas of Texas. The
blacklands run north to south throught the Dallas area down
toward San Antonio I think. These interest me as they were
made to seed on ridged land using middlebusters. Here they
are seeding on the ridges as the planter partly breaks down
the ridge. I think the furrowed fields are supposed to hold
and collect moisture as Texas can have tremendous
evaporation of moisture that is not seen in more northerly
areas.
