GS 165745 1 Beautiful spring weather either
Beautiful spring weather
This is the field where I planted corn YESTERDAY under
perfect conditions! It is the first field we did and it was
only 28 acres, was a nice piece to test out or new John
Deere 1780 8-row planter which is obviously back in the shed
now.

Re: Beautiful spring weather
As if the snow was not yet enough, the power also when out
while milking and we had to run the generator for 2 hours to
finish milking and wash the system.

Hey,

That really sucks. We know it won't last long, but it still
sucks...... It is raining up here, but it is supposed to
snow either tomorrow or Monday..

Did you get a chance to take some seeding pics for us?

Take care.

Re: Beautiful spring weather
When the weather gets better I'll pull it out of the shed
for some pics, right now I am the only person who has
planted with it so it was a bit hard to take pics, i`ll have
to get my bro or sis on that:-P

Re: Beautiful spring weather
The milking of 264 cows and cleaning of the milkparlour
takes about 4 hours on average, depends on how many people
are working, the amount of calves that have to be fed, and
if there are any loads of feed that must be made. The
milking equipment washes itself fully automatic, so we just
turn it on and leave.

Re: Beautiful spring weather
Down in OH, USA we put in 900 ac of corn (see other photos
in my album of our Kinze 2700 and Case 9270) and 60 acres of
beans in a week or so going at it kind of easy, then 1.5" of
rain the past three days now it is 33 degrees and snowing.
We have neighbors who have about 1500 acres of corn and
probably as many acres of beans in as well. I am glad our
3000 acres of soybeans are still on the wagons! Too many
problems with beans rotting in these conditions. Attached
is a pict of our 8630 with a 50 series overhaul and 36" JD
air seeder on 7.5" spacing. Hope it dries up!
