Re: Case Mammoth 8790
this forage harvester is mengele? cummins engine ?
Re: Case Mammoth 8790
no this one is not Mengele, the other Mammut Types (7000
Series) are Mengele. The 8790 was developed by the east
German Manufacturer Fortschritt/LTS bevore they were taken
over by CIH. They build only a few 8790s. A contractor said:
"You have to buy two 8790s together, one to operate and one
to get parts from". Seems they were developed today and
thrown on the market tomorrow without any testing...
Don´t know what engine they had (Deutz?)

As you know the Mammut Aera has ended, the actual CIH
foragers are just red NH´s.
Re: Case Mammoth 8790
Great pictures Jack. I have waited a very long time to see
pictures of this model. A very rare machine indeed.
Re: Case Mammoth 8790
Indeed nice pictures.
However, I am not sure the Mammoth types aren't all Mengele
developped machines. Case New Holland bought indeed parts of
Fortschritt, but only combine harvester patents I thought.
So in my opinion Case Mammoth foragers are real Mengele
machines. Correct me if I am wrong.
