Winter Wheat
Mt. Hood looks down on a pretty spring morning on SRS
Ranches near The Dalles, Oregon. This field of winter wheat
is about 2 months away from harvest. :-D There are two
varieties seed here; notice the different shades of green.
The darker shade at the bottom of the frame is a new variety
called Tubbs. The lighter shade above is the old
standby here in the Northwest; Stephens. ;-)
Re: Winter Wheat
Why does the darker shade picks a bit of the lighter at the
right side on the bottom of the pic. Does the driver turn's
here or something like that?
Nice pic by the way
Re: Winter Wheat

Re: Winter Wheat
MF8480: Yup, the drill made a turn there.....proably after
running a draw ( we double seed a lot of the draws ) ;-)
