I think Ideal was made in Brazil, Edwin. I know they're
supposed to be an IH design. Are they similar to a European
IH combine?

I see that the tailings-auger (or return-elevator) is a
blower-type instead a chain-type elevator. The only one I
know, ever did this as well, was Fahr from Germany.
I also know that international carried some Fahr combines in
Europa (france), so I suspect there is your link.
I remember somebody posting "exploded views" of a Fahr M1000
combine on FP, which illustrates this.

Theo, I've got an old picture on the Sima in Paris from a
Fahr combine with International on it. I'll place it on
Farmphoto.
