IH 806 cultivating corn
IH 806 with front mounted cultivator cultivating corn. 806's
came out in late 63. Cabs on row crop tractors came along
with the 1206 in late 65. Row crop farmers often had fabric
wind protectors coming from engine side up along the driver
in cold weather until cabs became popular. Mounted corn
pickers being replace by combines also probably helped
acceptance of cabs which could be a disadvantage in hot
weather without air conditioning. With many family farms at
the time, not all could afford the added cost with crop
prices at the time.
Re: IH 806 cultivating corn
Hey Redpainter,

Is that an LPG tank on that 806? If so, I did not know they
offered LPG tanks as an option through the 06 model range...
