Ce 4955 modifié aux Pays-Bas reçoit deux cuves à lisier
Joskin en latéral et des roues Row-crop à l'avant. Sacré
travail de préparation.
Re: 4955 JOSKIN
This is not a 4955, it's a 4450 or something. After they
made atrike of it a repainted it, they put 4955 stickers on
it, to make it look big. This tractor is for sale for over 6
or 7 years. look at Its a 9600 liters
tank. The contractor who owned it nowadays drives Verveat
Trike and Verveat Quad with crab steer
Re: 4955 JOSKIN
It's a 4955. I'm sure about that. I know the man who made
it. The contractor bought it new in 1992
Re: 4955 JOSKIN
I'm not so sure about that Jan, I'm from the same
neighborhood of that contractor and people here say it is
not a 4955. You can see the exhaustpipe in the middle of the
bonnet. A 4955 has the exhaust pipe at the right site
mounted against the cabin.
Re: 4955 JOSKIN
Hi Rob,

I think that John Deere started putting the exhaust pipe at
the right side of the cabin beginning with the 60 series, at
least that is how it was done here in the states. Have a
nice day.

Re: 4955 JOSKIN
You are correct lance i am currently enrolled in the john
deere ag tech program, and i am positive that they exhaust
was not ran along side the cab corner post until the 60
series. The only way a 55 series had exhaust on the corner
post was if a retrofit kit was installed. Hope that answers
your question.

Re: 4955 JOSKIN
Hey does this really work??

I think the driver doesn't see an elephant over that bonnet.
(if the elephant doesn't want to be seen and is hiding in
the grass, ofcourse)
Re: 4955 JOSKIN
Hello Pst,

Yep that is correct and good luck w/your ag tech program.:-D
Re: 4955 JOSKIN
Hello Lance,

In Holland, the 60 series have never been sold. The 55
series were the last after that the 8000 series came. In
Holland, all the 55 tractors ( 4755 / 4955 ) had a exhaust
pipe alongside the cabin. It is always possible that this
tractor was imported later from the USA.
Re: 4955 JOSKIN
I think I have another reason why it isn't a 4955.
In the front of the bonnet you see 4 headlights. Doesn't the
bigger models ( 4650, 4755, 4850, 4955 ) have 5 lights in a
Re: 4955 JOSKIN
Hello Rob,

I didn't know that the 60 Series was never soldin Holland.
Thanks for the info. As for the headlights, I believe you
might be right, but I think some other guys on this site
could tell us exactly that. Have a nice day.:-)

Re: 4955 JOSKIN

I'm from France and I think it's really a 4955 because of
the 4 headlights : the 4650 and 4850 had 5 headlights,
you're right Rob, but the 4755 and 4955 had 4 headlights.But
it's true ,that the 4450 had 4 headlights too, but I think
they were smaller than the headlights of the tractor on the
Re: 4955 JOSKIN
forget the lights or series man , tell me what is the
purpose of that large tank , and why is it called row-crop
tractor when the front tyres are tooo big for working
between rows ???
Re: 4955 JOSKIN
This machine is used for spreading fluid manure. The tank (
9600 liters ) can be filled with an hydraulic arm ( just in
front of the cabin. ) The manure injector is fitted to the
hydraulic lift at the back of the tractor. The contractor
sold it because it hadn't enough capacity. It isn't cold a
row crop, but a TRIKE-TRAC. In Holland there are a lot of
this machines ( without tank ) and are mostly used for
seeding grain or gras on ploughed fields.
Re: 4955 JOSKIN
Dear all,

in a first time, first series of 55 have exhaust pipe in the
middle of engine bonnet. Secondly, 4955 and 4755 have 5
ligths in the front.

Moreover, there is difference between bonnet of 4455 and
Re: 4955 JOSKIN
I don't say all of them, but I think 90 % of the 4955 models
in Holland have the exhaust pipe alongside the cabin.
