A Cat D6C working summerfallow with a Calkins rodweeder SE
of The Dalles, Oregon on a pretty June morning. In the
background is a cherry orchard that is nearing harvest and
overlooking it all is Mt Hood. :-D
From another angle; in this one Mt Adams across the Columbia
River in Washington can be seen. The rod is doing a great
job pulling weeds and putting this field into shape
after some recent rains. ;-)

How about wheat harvesting? I will begin in 10/15 days. I
will make a lot of pics...I don't have wheat, I have "farro"
(triticum dicoccum) which is the ancient parent of wheat. In
Italy many farmers have stopped to seed wheat because of the
low price...ando so we must find other crop like this...
We have some problem to harvest it because it's 1,20 meter
long and so the combine have to work a lot of straw and we
don't know if she can do it :-)...maybe we have to pull off
the mulcher and mulch the straw after the combine with a
