Wheat in this field looks good! Standing good and headed
nice. Should make 100 bushel to the acre. Combine and the
hydra flex will handle it easily! June 29 05, wheat tested
18% moisture.
Re: 9650sts and 35' hydraflex
Wheat is done! Got the bean drill moved to the field, waitin
on the seed truck. Wheat did not make a 100! Made about 80
bpa. Hopefully the double crop beans will make maturity
before the frost gets them! We will wait and see! Tractor is
an Mt 845, drill is an 1910 270 bushel cart, the seeder is
an 40' 15" 1690 soybean special. june 30 05
Re: 9650sts and 35' hydraflex
Got the beans loaded in the cart made about 3 rounds in the
field and here comes the rain! I was much happier to see the
rain then to get any beans drilled! We are in need of rain
in this area pretty bad. Ends up we had about a inch of rain
that morning and I was drilling beans again by 4 o'clock
that afternoon. Plenty of moisture to bring um up! God Bless
the rains.

great photos CME, more please:-D
Re: 9650sts and 35' hydraflex
100 bushel wheat!? What was the test weight? What part of
the country? What variety of wheat? 18% moisture? what is
considered dry? The hard winter wheat grown in central KS
isn't considered dry until 14.5% moisture.
Re: 9650sts and 35' hydraflex
hey CME,
very nice pics, you don`t see a lot of such equipment down
Re: 9650sts and 35' hydraflex
Wheat was Mckillips Seeds.Test weight was good! We are in
north central Indiana. We had timely rains and a good wheat
growing program. We sprayed fertilizer once and fungicide
once. We have a local elevator that takes wheat up to 20%
with shrink only. That is a pretty good deal for us that
want to double crop. 13.5% is considered dry around here.
Hopefully the frost will hold off on the beans and they
could make 45 bpa!:-) I have heard many reports of Becks
wheat doing over a hundred! Have a safe and profitable day.
