Re: 8800 with tracks
This tractor could be built by Buhler. The tracks look the
same as on the Buhler Prototype.

Re: 8800 with tracks
No kidding eh - have a look at the blue in the cab of the
tractor - and compare it to that to the side of it.

Someones got a lot of time on their hands!!!

Jon,

I guess the person who edited the photo was bored or
something. It still looks like a good idea though.

Re: 8800 with tracks
For you gentlemen that believe that this is just a good
piece of computer regenerated hully gully. It is not!! This
tractor was a prototype for AGCO. I believe it toured the
world in AGCO Orange colors as a 9785, Massey Ferguson 8280
in red and, as shown in White silver as a 8810.

Re: 8800 with tracks
I know this tractor was in MF-colors on the SIMA in Paris in
febr. 2001. With these tracks indeed.
All the tractors Agco and White between 80 upto ±260 engine
hp are still build in Beauvois, France. I believe it's ±15 %
of the production there, the other 85% are MF 6000 and 8000,
(O.K. 6200/8200). And since a couple months the 4300 series
instead of the Britan-production.
I don't know if the 4300-serie also available is in the Agco
and/or White colors, engines, roof and bonnet.

Oh, jeh, the Challenger models are also into production
there.
Maybe somebody has seen them in the field yet???

Re: 8800 with tracks
It's real. Agco made prototypes of the White, Allis, and Massey tractors with tracks. I've seen pictures of the Massey in farm magazines and I believe it toured some farm shows. As for the blue in the glass being different than the blue of the sky its because they use a blue tinted glass. I think they started using that type of glass on the first Workhorse series. If not than I know they started on the second Workhorse Series. Our 6175 had it and so do our 86 and 8710's.

And that's real great that your grandpa has 8 or more Whites. But what does that have to do with anything? Does that make you an expert?
