Murison 198084 103 1470 either
A 1981 model 1470 cutting winter wheat near Mansfield, WA.
Taken 7/24/05. This is my dad's combine (one of two 1470's)
in roughly 50 bushel/acre Eltan variety wheat. This area
is rocky and dry, but this year's yeilds are pretty good.
Hey Murison! Nice shots. Love the 70's.....hated to see
ours go. Best hillside combine ever. Have any shots on some
steep ground?? :-D
Thanks,I love your photos too, they're always great!!
I wasn't around later that week to take pics when they hit
the steep stuff. These were taken on a Sunday after a rainy
Saturday, so the local co-op wasn't open for trucks. So the
trucks were filled before my brother got to anything steep.
Above was taken just toward the end of the short day and
near the some steep ground, but couldn't get to it yet.
I'll dig through some old photos and see what I can scrounge
That AFX machine must really eat the wheat!!! I'd love to
see one run. I saw one post where you were pushing 6mph
w/ that 36' header!!! Wow, that's alot of header to watch,
especially in the hills!!
Another shot of the older machine.
