Re: o&k
This is the O and K RH400.It is the larest hydraulic front
shovel ever built. It weighs about 990 tons and has a bucket
that can shovel up about 55 yards a pass or 80 tons. There
are couple of these working in the tar sand mine areas near
Fort MacMurray,Alberta,Canada. The first RH400 was brought to
Fort MacMurray in 1997.These can load 240,320,360,380 and
400 ton off highway haulers.O and K is a division of
Terex.This RH400 is made in Dortmund,West Germany.Other O
and K fron shovels are the RH200,RH170,RH90,RH40.Orenstein
and Koppel had built such memorable machines as the
RH60,RH75, and the big RH300.These 3 machines were built
from the mid to late 1970s.
