Re: Bobwhite Quail
Nice pics Rusty, I had done some quailbreeding and they are
interesting birds. But I'm wondering, theres seams to be a
lot of them in your pics, thats your use of them - meat,
eggs or pets?
Re: Bobwhite Quail
Thanks Anders,
I really enjoy raising them allot. The bobwhites in the
pics (the larger ones) are about 4-5 weeks old. In another
week or two they'll be moved out of the broodhouse and into
a flight pen that is 50x150 feet. There, they'll get
weather and flight conditioned. At about 16 weeks, they'll
be sold for hunting purposes. The pics of the eggs (I had
forgot to change the title) are coturnix eggs. I took those
earlier this week as I was transfering them from the
incubator to the hatcher unit. They'll be hatching this
weekend. The coturnix will be used as meat birds and some
will be kept for egg production.
