John Deere 9420 bogged on a tailings dam at a New South
Wales mine site. Tractor pulls 2x 14ft laser buckets with a
loaded mass of 75 tonne

Re: Bogged I think
Yeah should have brought Case IH! True he shouldn't have
been on the tailings unless he wanted to get stuck. All the
laser bucket operators I know use Case IH's or Steigers
because they are just better than everything else.

Re: Bogged I think
I'm really having a hard time seeing how case is better...we
have owned a couple of magnums and looked at the stx series
when we upgraded this year. And unless you want a tractor
has horrible noise in the cab and poor steering then I would
say buy a Case Ih. The best thing a case is for is putting
them in one gear and going in long straight lines, love the
cummins engines, but their cabs and trany's need some help.

Re: Bogged I think
The problem with joh deere 4 wds ,all , is the balist. They cant evenly distrubute the wieght of the tractor between the front and the back axles. Thats why case ih is better and rarly never get stuck and thats why they should have boughten a case ih quad trac!!!

Re: Bogged I think
The problem with you Obea is that you cant see past your Case IH bias. Get over it! A Case IH or Steiger would have gotten stuck there too.....

Re: Bogged I think
Obea, you are a true imbred hick. I'll get your daddy's CaseIH stuck as quick as any other brand, I can assure you of that.

Re: Bogged I think
It looks to me like anything would have got stuck in there. :-\

A few years ago I had a Case Magnum 7230 on hire. Compared to my JD, it was very coarse, had a clunky transmission and was generally not very nice to drive.
The Quadtracs look good, I hope to get a demo with one, then I can do some posts on here about it. :-D

Re: Bogged I think
Also the JD is a 9520, not a 9420 as posted. :-P

I have had my Fastrac 155 stuck 2 times :-[

JD 4755, never been stuck in the 17 years I have had it. :-)
