Re: challenger and plough - deep work-
Why you plowing? Looks like it costs too much money to turn
your soil like that. We direct-seed, yields are better with
less money in tillage

Re: challenger and plough - deep work-
Looks like hard pulling. I've seen this in Italy many years
ago. I assume deep plowing is due to the soil conditions as
the soil looked very compacted when I was there in the
summer. I would expect deep plowing or deep ripping with
chisel where there is not alot deep frozen soils in the
winter. The Californians said Italy looked alot like
California. There they do alot or deep ripping and till with
very heavy disc I think. You must plow in fairly straight
lines as that narrow guage Challenger would be harder to to
turn than a wide guage.

We do the some her in Portugal, deep. By the way the
landscape is very similar with ours.
We don´t have frozen soil wither.

Re: challenger and plough - deep work-
holland, 160cm deep, 900 hp

but 4 furrow @ 60cm does need some power i think. What is
the working speed? (km/h). At my picture they plow just
about 7 km/h

Would you mind if I use part of your picture in a painting I am working on. If you agree I will post the painting on here.
