Fairy Ring
Fairy Rings usually appear in fall after heavy rainfall and
can range in size from a few inches to a 50' diameter and
starts with a single spore of mycleium which will grow into
a circle and first signs are mushrooms and as they decay a
dark green circle of grass will appear

Re: Fairy Ring
We live in south west Missouri near West Plains, which is
what we call the Ozarks which have mainly forage based
farming operations with lots of Livestock mainly dairies and
beef cows everyone grows hay,all the dairies grow silage
which is corn, wheat, forage sorghum, or alfalfa and this is
the number 2 region is US for fescue seed production so we
combine lots of this grass seed.

Re: Fairy Ring
No it's the flag of Holland. That's nearby Luxembourg in
Europe. At home we have a dairy farm with around 60 cows. We
also grow some potatoes. We have mais and grass for feeding
the cows. How many cows do the farms around your place have
and what is the milk production per year.

Next year I will go to the states for practical training. My
study is about agriculture and livestock. I hope to become a
farmer, but that's not easy here.

Re: Fairy Ring
dairies here run from 40 to 150 cows with most in the
75-100 head range milk production here will run about
15,000 pounds per year figured on 305 days of milk and a 60
day dry period we market milk here for $16,00/cwt or 16
cents a pound and to get started in farming here is also
very difficult as it requires lots of capital

Where in the states do you plan to study?

Re: Fairy Ring
Hello,

Gert-Jan forgot to tell that Luxembourg has the same flag as
the Netherlands. Is a little weird but a few centuries ago
it was one kingdom.

Re: Fairy Ring
Thanks, I must admitt that Europe has several flags that In
my opinion look very much alike or maybe just a change of
the color pattern

Thanks
