Re: JD2066 Hillmaster
I like the picture of your John Deere combine. Is it harvest
time in germany now? Do you have any pictures from this

I have attached the photo of the combine i am running here
in Illinois.

Re: JD2066 Hillmaster
i have a question why do the european combines have a type
of roof on the grain tank this may be a rather stupid
question but i have always wondered why that is so

Re: JD2066 Hillmaster
good question. you arent the only one wondering why that is.
i would like to know also.
Re: JD2066 Hillmaster
Yeah, same here. I also wonder why the roof or cover thing
is there. Very interesting.
Re: JD2066 Hillmaster
In Europe the weather is'nt always stabil,so there is always
a posebility when it is cloudy that it starts
raining.Therefoor is the graintankcover, when it rains you
can drive home with a dry tank.
Re: JD2066 Hillmaster
oh so ic now that is a very nice thing to have thanx for
explaining ;-)
Re: JD2066 Hillmaster
first of all thanks Bert´n for the good explanation!
Hi Bob, harvest of small grains is over since august, right
now cornharvest is going on if we got some dry days,
terrible weather now, even for sugarbeatharvest. Pictures
are in progress. Nice picture of your combine (model?) and
very impressive silos.

cheers volker
Re: JD2066 Hillmaster
Not only the weather problem- We also have trees in padocks,
this can cause problems when you get a large branch in the
bottom of the unloading auger, also the type of tank
extentions dont last long in battle with branches!
I know your going to say cut the trees down--- WE have to
get permision from our local authorities in our area to do
that,as with hedges making gate holes biggeretc...!!
And you wonder why we rent out our ground!!
