Beet harvest last year
Here is a pick from last years beet harvest by the lambton
beet group. A local beet growers group. They use VGM dump
trailers, JD and CIH tractors, a Euro Mauze beet loader, and
recently bought a Euro Tiger. more pictures will follow...
Re: Beet harvest last year
Here is a pic of some of the trailers
Re: Beet harvest last year
Here is a picture of the harvester - pull type, which is now
replaced by the Ropa Euro Tiger. I think this was one of
their first years, because i dont imagine this machine has a
lot of capacity
Re: Beet harvest last year
for the amount of acres they do that is....

Lambton beets harvest has been around since the beets came
to Ontario.
As far as the pull type Artsway harvester go, they do have a
lot of capacity because they drive really fast with them,
but the cleaning is very limited on them as soon as it gets
a little wet,
Most guys run between 4.5-6mph.
have you seen the Vervaet harvester digging beets? now thats
a beet harvester....owned by Glen Ferguson.
Re: Beet harvest last year
Oh im so sorry, i didnt realize they have still such high
capacity...:-[, i guess with that big jd in front it must
have enough power to go on.... I never realized lambton beet
group has been around so long. I was just last year that it
really came in the picture for me. any ways, thanks for the
reply. By the way, what miniatures did u get at the
woodstock toy show. I saw u there, and my dad and your dad
were talking for a little bit there.
Re: Beet harvest last year
you dont have to be sorry for not knowing, haha
no these american machines will do a lot of area in an hour,
but the quality of the job is not all that great when its
get a bit damp.
anyways, yeah the lambton beet harvest group is a lot of the
lambton county beet growers working together harvesting
beets, and as far as i know they started that 7-8years ago
when the beets came back to Ontario.

What did i get at woodstock? a whole bunch of stuff, about
12 tractors and a few small items, if you want some pics,
add me to your MSN list.
