Re: GRimme
Can you tell me where this photo was taken and how I can get
in touch with someone who sells this type of conveyor
system? Its a great telescoping design for potato conveyor
systems.

Tom,

I am from the United States, but I have never seen anything
like this locally, but I'm sure there is Grimme equipment
somewhere in the US. Thanks

Re: GRimme
Josh, You never saw that before, a machine like this type on
the picture ? It's strange because in your country
everything is bigger en larger than here in Belgium or
aren't there many farmers who have a lot off patatoes ? The
most harvesting machines for patatoes are made in our own
country so it's normal that you don't know that brand! byyee

Re: GRimme
Tom,

Yes, there are plenty of large potato farmers in our area,
but I have not seen that particular type of telescoping
conveyor system before. It seems like a simple, gentle
design for moving potatoes. It is not uncommon to see 5,000
acre potato farms in our area, but I have never seen grimme
harvesting or handling equipment in person before.

Re: GRimme
Josh, Double L manufacturing out of Idaho makes conveyors
like that, or they did anyway because we have a couple of
them. Just search the net for Double LL.

Re: GRimme
don't forget that grimme conveyors are about twice as
expensive as anything else out there. The big advantage to
these belts is that they are available with (hydraulic)
variable speed and that they pivot. But watch out, here in
Alberta we use spudnik conveyors, and as soon as u are used
to this grimme stuff, you don't ever want anything else,
including their bin-pilers and harvesters.....grimme went
into business with spudnik, so it's a matter of time until
we have this stuff here (for a reasonable price) too....
