Re: Curtis Wright.jpg
This is a monster! Why do large tractors always look good
in yellow?
I like the search lights on the rear!
Re: Curtis Wright.jpg
A little correction is in order. This tractor is a Write
which was built by Dave Curtis in Havre Montana. The tractor
in the picture is rated at 707 engine Hp. It has a Detroit
Diesel 12V92 motor. I am not sure what the displacement of
the motor is. The tractor weighs around 64000 lbs dry and
sports 35X32 rubber. I rode in this tractor when it was
pulling a 62ft. Bourgault chisel plow and it pulled it
easily in heavy gumbo type land. The picture was taken near
Three Hills, Alberta, Canada in the summer of 2002.;-)
Re: Curtis Wright.jpg
The correct name is RITE, and the engine is a 12v-92 rated
at 750 hp. If I remember correctly the trans is an Allyson
with a Cotta drop box and 85,000 lb Clark axles. Dave built
these tractors in Great Falls not in Havre. I have a 606 and
a 404 Rite, both with 1150 cummins engines at 485 and 525
Re: Curtis Wright.jpg
Thankyou for bringing clarity to the issue. I was relying on
the farmer whom owned the tractor for the details, some of
which he was not to clear on. Again Thanks.:-)
Re: Curtis Wright.jpg
Anybody know if Dave Curtis have printed tractor literature
for the Rite tractors ? I collect 4WD tractor literature. I
have a large collection, but can not find sales literature
on Rite tractors. Thanks.
