Re: pivot
Imagine if every member started posting Google Earth pics? How would it be then?

Some people would see one pic posted then another, then they think if it is ok for that member to post pics from Google, then it is ok for me & everone else to do it, then more & more start to do the same....

From memory I think the pics I have seen on Google Earth have a copyright logo on them, so I would have thought that they couldnt be copied, but maybe I am wrong?

Re: pivot
i guess you mean aerogrid, they have "aerogrid" all over them

mostly people send pics from there farm(machinery, animals) and to send a google earth pic, it think that's nice to see.
also these photo's, i think they are interesting, espacially because they are from arabia saudi.

Re: pivot
Dont get me wrong, I personally like to use Google Earth but as I said in that previous post, it might be like opening the floodgates, if everyone starts posting them. Can you understand what I mean?

If there is a new category created for them & Stu and a consenus of members agree, then fair enough, go for it but otherwise I dont personally think they should be here.

Re: pivot
I dont take aerial shots to be Google Earth pics though; I take it to be pictures taken from a plane, of farming scenes (from a satelite, you cant get as much detail).

Anyway, each to their own :-)

TasCowGay: go innoying someone else, these pictures aren't stolen, how can you steale a picture from a sattelite.... and the pictures aren't abused...

Steven, that sort of stuff only reflects badly on the person who wrote it.

Re: pivot
I have read Google Earth's policy on posting pics & it seems that they do allow it, in something like FP so that's fine with me.

However I would think it applicable that a member posting Google Earth pics would acknowledge this fact in their post & "posted with permission", as opposed to "posted by owner", unless of course, you actually own the satelite.

Down the track maybe a Google Earth pics section, for those interested in posting these sorts of pictures?
