Agcostar 8425
The king off the Agco tractors is the 425hp Agcostar 8425. i
have a question are there a lot off this type in america?
Re: Agcostar 8425
Hello Johan,

I have never seen one of these in person before. There are
not that many 4wds where I live because the farms are not
really that big, even though we have a Case 9250 4wd. I
don't really know too much about these tractors.

Re: Agcostar 8425
There are a few around my area, but it goes with the
dealerships. If you have a good dealer, people buy them.
If the dealership is poor, people bypass them to buy green,
red or blue. Also, they have changed designs so often at
Alice Chalmers that it is tough to build up a reputation
with a tractor. And in ag sales, rep is everything.
Re: Agcostar 8425
There are a few of these around in my area. I had the
opportunity to run an 8425 2 years ago and I did not care
for the tractor. It is a typical AC product, meaning it has
simple components, Cummins motor, Eaton-Fuller transmision,
Raba Rear-ends, etc. But the tractor was not very user
friendly. I get the chance to run a lot of different
equipment and I just would say that these tractors don't
compare to the other big tractor models.
