Re: Frosty
Hey there. I am just curious what the # on these combines
are, like 9760sts. Great pictures. Where abouts is this
Re: Frosty
there were three 9760 sts, and three 9660 sts, we ran three
9660 all the time, then when corn yield was lower, we would
run a third 9760. the operation is a joined crew. we three
9660 STS and support equipment was from Tisdale
Saskatchewanm, Canada. then the other crew had 5 9760 STS
from Saskatoon Saskatchewan, Canada. we were custom
harvesting near brookings South Dakota.
Re: Frosty
Great pics for sure. I would realy like to see some more
pics. Why do two different crews join together? Take er
Re: Frosty
we joined up becasue the farmer had hired us both to harvest
his crop, like i stated before 15000 acres of corn, thats
alot of corn for three combines.. haha
Re: Frosty
Wow that is alot of corn. I think it would be harder to find
a place for all of it than to harvest it. Do you harvest
other crops to or just corn?
Re: Frosty
during the summer, ah, end of may, we leave home after
seeding, and come down to arkasaw and combine wheat around
there adn work our way north till we are home and combine
wheat, barley, canola, flax, different variety of peas,
oats, lentils. at my bosses farm. then we go back down for
corn. when we go south in the fall for corn, other crews
combine soybeans too then corn, but we just make it in time
for corn so thats all we do. all the corn we harvested was
trucked directly to the ethanol plant in Aurora South
dakota, just outside Brookings. so no problem with storage,
untill we plugged the elevator and they actually had to
close for a few days to put all their effort to processing
the corn, so we could keep hauling.
Re: Frosty
wow thats alot of harvesting. I would love to do that. Do
you ever get bored or sick of it or is everyday something
new? where do I sign up?

Re: Frosty
hey if your serious, or anyone is serious and wants to join
the crew, add me to msn, or shoot me an email and we can go
from there as for contacting my boss.
