Re: Chicken cather
Can you tell me a little bit more. How does that work?
The guy on the platform determines how many birds are going
in one crate? Or is there a counter or something.
How many birds can you catch per hour? With how many men?

In Ontario Canada chickens are catched by hand. A crew of 14
people normally catches some 10.000 birds per hour. The
majority of the barns is two storey, so I don't think this
thing will work.
Re: Chicken cather
In Belgium we also cath chickens by hand. There are not so
many catch machines, but I think those machines are the
future. I don't know how much chickens the machine takes in
an houre, but is goes fast.

The machine works with a computer. when there is anough
weight in the drawer the machines stop automaticly. then the
men close the drawer en start the machine again.
Re: Chicken cather
when we don't have to wait at barges we sometimes take
10.000 chickens by hand in an houre with 8 men.
Re: Chicken cather
Funny machine that one.
Here in Denmark they are started to use machines to catch
chickens because it’s a pretty bad working environment for
the catchers. Noise, dust, scratches from the chickens, low
catching height etc. But I don’t know a lot of the
But I found this web page who shows that machine here.

Take care…Shrek
