MX 285 Stuck
This was my biggest screw up in 20 years. I was attempting
to unload (rice) on the other side of the semi. Why? Because
the Anderson cart pictured was slowing me down and I was
trying to keep up with our 3 red machines. The Johnson Grass
wasn't mowed on that side and I found the pipe going into
the field. The front tire was in the canal (about 14 ft.
deep) and the tractor was resting on the axle. I couldn't
pull forward because of the full cart of rice, so I
attempted to backup. But when I did, the rear tired started
sliding in so I hit the left brake. That was a mistake
because the front of the tractor slid in. After I put the
tractor in park and changed my underwear, I went and flagged
down our other cart and got it out. I've been stuck worse
but the fact that I almost rolled our newest tractor in a
canal scared the #$%@ out of me. This was a bad day. I also
got stuck earlier in the day because the front and rear
duals (don't ask why we didn't take the front ones off) kept
getting plugged up. It got so bad I had to run up and down
the road everytime I came out of the field to throw all the
mud out. Rice fields aren't too bad when there's still water
in the ruts, but when that disappears watch out.
