Corn in drought-affected area
Parts of the south area of Brazil are with drought and
strong reduction in the corn production. The picture was
taken yesterday in Campos Novos county, middle west of the
state of Santa Catarina that is to main area producing of
grains of the state.

How much rain do you normally get in a year in your area?

Hi,
I believe that in that area happens 1500-1700 mm
approximately a year of rain. Due to the drought, there was
only 80 rain mm in the last 3 months, comparing with the
average from 400 to 500 mm in normal years.
The picture above show the coordinates (Google Earth) of the
last picture of corn plants.
