they going over whats already been harvested to get the
remaing grain or what? Hope to see many more of these nice

Re: Harvesting wheat in sasketchewan
Hi Chad, the three 9860sts combines with pick up header are
owned by the farmer(he covers over 16000acres),the 9760 and
the two MF combines are custom harvesting untis.I have made
these pictures on the last weekend in september, but i have
read in a farm magazine that they combined wheat until mid
octobre.
To Josh:
Hi Josh, nice to hear from you,i hope you are doing well in
ontario and you had a good start into the new year. They are
using the pick up headers normally after having swathed the
grain two or three weeks before combining, because they often
do not have enough time for waiting until the standing crop
is dry enough in the fall.Last fall they did not even have
the time for swathing all their crops, because they have had
very wet conditions in the fall in that area of sasketchewan
and this farmer tried to get in as much crop as
possible, thats the reason for combining with straight cut
headers too(moisture was abuot 17%).

Hey, Yes I had a great year thanks. How was yours? I hope
all is well. I guess you didnt get my email of the videos I
am not sure why that didnt work. If you would like me to re
send them I will be happy to. I never even thought of that
good to know. I guess when harvesting that much you have to
think of a plan B or your in trouble. Vary nice pics by the
way. I hope to visit the praries soon. I would like to go to
Saskatchewan for sure maybe join a harvesting crew for the
summer once im old enough.

Take er easy.
