Test drive T-series
I tested 3 T-Valtras last friday, one X and one hi-tech. Two
170with a front loader and one with out, one low rpm T-140,
all of them with front suspension. The X had a very quiet
cab, since the engine is so far away. The T 170 were big
compared to the old hi-tech series. Maybe because of the 42
inch tires. Axels were adapted to the 42inchers so maybe
thats why T is a heavier tractor.
I didn't like the looks of the T at the very first when I
saw it on a picture, they look better in reality and they
make the Hi-tech look oldfashioned. The T-series are great!
Hopefully it'll be an S testdrive next time!:-)
Re: Test drive T-series
Hey Sven,

So all in all how does the T compare to the older models?

How was the vision ahead?
Re: Test drive T-series
Hello Woodbeef!
It's hard to tell when I tested 5 tractors in 1 hour and I
had to look out for farmers and traffic all over.

I'm not used to the 6 cylinders, so it's hard to compare
the vision ahead. However I think the vision is better sice
the hood is more narrow at the top, more round, but it's
still very long. If the tractor has the standard air intake,
it's situated just above the radiator, the air goes throgh a
long pipe to the air cleaner. Under the hood alomost
everything was different to our 6850.

Maybe the autoC. button on the armrest was not so
comfortable, but I guess it only takes a little getting used
to, otherwise very nice hydraulic controls, lots of
buttons(nice in the dark, lots of lights). I think the T has
a higher finish than the Hi-Tech.
