R62 harvesting Barley up on the hill
To jdeere. We farm at Charlton, Northwest Victoria,
yes it can get hot here, once it gets over 40 deg cel and
windy the fire risk increases, we dont harvest. The fire dept
usually call a total fire ban that means no machinery to be
used in the open.

Re: Harvest 05/06
To jdeere
Looks very cold over there, Echuca is to our north about 100
km. Today the temp got to 42 deg c, I have just got back
from working on a strike team fighting fires around the
Grampians National park, we in Victoria have had some nasty
weather the last couple of weeks for fires, mainly lightning
strikes.

Re: Harvest 05/06
To jdeere
Watchem is very close to Charlton, less than 20km, you would
possibly have gone though Charlton to get there. Where do
you live, do you work on a farm over there.

Re: Harvest 05/06
Hi jdeere,

at first, your Hürlimann postcard is the same as mine.

The best way to find location to use Microsoft Encarta
Worldatlas. You enter the name of a town and zack you see it
on the map. The only disadvantage is, that there is no real
new release of this wanderful software and you don´t find my
40 people village!

The second best software is my Langenscheit e-dictionary

Have a nice Sunday
Greetings to Switzerland.
Theo

Also nice greetings from a -10 Degree C Germany to the hot
Australia!! and my be, my posted pictures gave you a little
cooling!
