TM140 hitching a lift
NH TM 140 hitching a lift of a proper tractor after it broke
down, transmission failure, when dealer stripped it down the
pipe that goes through the gearbox that joins both fuel
tanks had worn through allowing diesel to mix with the back
end oil and consiquently wore all the clutch packs and brake
discs out apparently this kind of fault I'm told is a common
problem with these tractors. This will be the 3rd time in
just over 12 months that this tractor has been in for major
repairs.
Picture was taken early feb 2006 Silsden , West Yorks
Tractor behind low loader is a MF 4270 with TB Turbo
conversion 140 hp

Re: TM140 hitching a lift
our tractors are proberbly some of the best maintained
tractors about, its New holland that dont listen to their
customers or their dealers so they dont get problems solved
quick enough, TMs and formerly 60 series have been around 10
years or more so I think they have had plenty of time to get
them right now.

Re: TM140 hitching a lift
oil level was checked in morning and by night time it had
worn through pipe & done its damage, our tms have sight
glasses for trans oil so theres no excuse for not checking
it.
