Best place for a 60 series NH & TM s for that matter, should
have pushed it further down banking and left it there.

Re: 8360
they are that bad, we have had 2 TM's and both of them have
spent more hours in the dealers workshop that actual work,
neather of them have been abused by drivers or neglected
service wise, both of them have had major gearbox & brake
repairs twice, countless oil leaks from engine & back end,
cab roof blew of one whilst going down road, front mudguards
keep breaking, build qualitly is crap in general, only good
thing about them is the engine, both tractors have loads of
guts and low down torque. weve been contracting with fords
for about 7 years with 6810 8210 turbo, 8730,2 x 7840
turbos, 2 x 8340 & now TMs, thinking of changing to MF 7485
dyna vt or fendt 714

Re: 8360
What kind of work do you do with your T.Ms? We currently
have 3 A TM 150, TM 165 and a TM 190. Our just get used
really for general use like harvesting, carting, field work
but we have never had such problems with them as you say. We
have mudguards on our 150 and 165 and no problems. No cab
problems. Only 1 oil leak from the back end on our 190.
I really dont think they are as bad as you make out??!

Re: 8360
We had a TM175 and babied the thing and still had a lot of
problems. All we did is use it on the sprayer and for
hauling chopper boxes. It had a new motor put in it at 200
hours, a new friction and gear parking brake, the brakes
gave us troubles and the hydraulics gave us troubles. Like
I said we pretty much babied the thing. But i will admit it
had some speed and power above 1600 RPM.

A little information for you.
6820:135hp
TM150:150HP
TM175;175HP with optional 45hp boost
TM190:190HP with optional 45hp boost
and the 6820 also has a smaller frame and overall is just
smaller.
The TM175 an 190 should be compare tho 7000 series john
deeres.

Re: 8360
just to let you know our that TM140 thats been giving us
bother has been in to the dealer this summer for a steering
pump, new radiator, front L/H wheel bearing collapsed and
front wheel nearly came off, and last week its had the
brakes done for the second time and its just clocked 3000
hrs. Had it on the dyno whilst it was there and its putting
162 hp out on the shaft, most of the work it does is carting
trailers of stone about and our diggers from job to job and
in the summer its usually mowing or pulling trailer on the
silo team. We've had a MF 7480 on demo recently and was quite
impressed with it.

Re: 8360
Well, I would be prudent with MF. They had some really bad series in the past... And if you want to buy a CVT, buy a Fendt. All CVT's cost a lot and the money you pay more you ALWAYS get back when you return it. Even if it has more then 10 000 hours;-)
Our 2 JD's have had more then enough problems too. Maybe they are better then NH. but not twice as good...
